Most of the things in political ads and literally everything on the internet is false. Fact check things before you go forwarding everything in sight to all of your friends. I know a couple of people who love to blat out windbag political comparison charts and fact checks as a thinly vieled attempt to get me to swallow conservative tripe. Doesn’t work on the good doctor and it shouldn’t work on you either dear reader!
Davis Pogue says:
* When someone sends you some shocking e-mail and suggests that you pass it on, don’t. At least not until you’ve first confirmed its truth at snopes.com, the Internet’s authority on e-mailed myths. This includes get-rich schemes, Microsoft/AOL cash giveaways, and–especially lately–nutty scare-tactic messages about our Presidential candidates.
